12.5 cm SUPER SPOOK - HEDDON SURFACE LURE - RED HEAD

Modern version of the legendary Zara Spook, created by Heddon in 1922, the first stick bait ever invented, the Super Spook remains one of the most essential surface lures for all sea fishing.

For the history, the first prototypes of the Super Spook were simply failures. The colors were faded, and the plastic melted! Someone jokingly called it the "ghost" lure ("spook" in English), and Heddon kept the name. Thus, the plastic version of the Zaragossa became the Zara Spook. These early failed lures, which were poorly preserved, are now worth thousands of dollars to collectors!
Since then, the Spook has been released in many variants (Super Spook, Mini Spook, Rattlin, Super Magnum, etc.). With its "walking-the-dog" action flat on the surface, easy to handle, and its round shape providing an attractive rolling motion, the Spook remains a surefire lure worldwide.
