ANODE OUTBOARD MOTOR

CHOOSING YOUR SACRIFICIAL ANODE

The sacrificial anode should be chosen based on the type of water in which you are navigating:

  • Magnesium: for freshwater use.
  • Zinc: for seawater use.
  • Aluminum alloy: for brackish water use.

The anode should be installed directly onto its support, without paint, and must not be painted to ensure its effectiveness.
